The German Language school in Mississauga teaches German at the Hansa Haus:
Since 2010, the German Language School has been teaching German at the Hansa Haus in Mississauga. Since 2008, in the elementary sector, the German Language School teaches German at Saints Peter and Paul Elementary School in Mississauga. Our school is governed by The Dufferin- Peel Catholic District School Board. In cooperation with our sister school in Oakville and with the dedicated and loving work of our teachers and parents, almost 300 students enrolled in our German classes in 2011. In our schools in Oakville and Mississauga, every boy or girl can learn German with a lot of fun and can experience the exciting and diverse history and culture of German speaking countries.
At the Hansa Haus, we extend our work into adult education and German language coaching. Over the years, we received more and more requests regarding German Language courses, which were specifically designed for adults and professionals. The Hansa Haus in Mississauga is a multicultural Canadian-German Club and is the home for adult education at the German Language School in Mississauga. In the club`s modern and comfortable facilities, we can offer German classes in a professional and personalized atmosphere.
Since the late 1950`s one can experience German culture and history at the Hansa Haus. All our classes include a one year membership at the club which gives every student access to all facilities and discounted rates at all events. Most events, parties and functions are based on traditions and customs in German speaking countries. The Hansa Haus offers children`s parties, dances, German movies, concerts, sport events, auctions, Trade shows, hall and room rental and traditional German Galas and dinners. We believe that the Hansa Haus with its deep roots in Canadian German history offers an ideal platform for the German Language School of Mississauga.
The teachers at the German Language School in Mississauga have many years of experience in teaching German. All teachers are either natively German speaking and/or certified German teachers. We all teach or have taught children and/or adults for many years. We want to teach an exciting language and tell a story about an amazing country. We offer German for adults at different levels, ranging from beginner over intermediate to a most advanced level. One-on one tutoring can be arranged. With small class sizes, we focus on the individual goals of our students. In our classes, we teach day to day German, that one can use in the modern societies of Austria, Switzerland and Germany and wherever people speak German. Our classes are based on the recommendations of the Goethe Institute in Toronto and our programs and classes prepare for the examinations in A1, A2, B1, B2 & C1. It is up to you where our classes will take you!
Translations & Interpretations are available, regardless if you want to translate your old handwritten letters or require an experienced interpreter at your function. We are qualified to read and translate from Suetterlin, Old German and Cursive handwriting. Translations can be offered at very competitive rates. Talk to us!
Travelling to Germany will be possible with us in September 2012. We aim to offer a stay in the Cologne/Bonn area with connecting transfer to Berlin. In cooperation with a German school in Siegburg, Germany, we hopefully can offer an exciting language trip starting in the Rhineland and coming to an end in the vibrant city of Berlin.
